HB 11 in Utah
DEAR GOVERNOR COX
I stand with Utah Pride Center in appreciation for the work you have put in to vetoing HB11! Thank you for protecting the rights of transgender children! I work as a queer therapist for the LGBTQIA+ community, seeing transgender individuals from age 10-70+ every day. I see how difficult life is and the negative impact on their mental health and the health of their relationships with others. I hope you feel the magnitude of your efforts as well as the magnitude of those in the queer community and allies who are standing behind your efforts. I have contacted my representatives and demanded they vote no on HB11. I hope that our united efforts continue protecting this vulnerable population!
Best,

DEAR representatives
In regards to this Friday's vote on HB11, I urge you to vote NO! I stand in unity with the other clinicians in my office, five queer individuals who work every day with the LGBTQIA+ community to provide affirming mental health care to our community. We all work with transgender children and know how difficult their lived experience already is. Please do not use their rights for your own political gain, but instead recognize the lives that would be negatively impacted if HB11 were to pass. This bill is not about protecting women's sports, but it is about transphobia, hate and political gain. Please listen to the queer community and represent our needs by voting NO to HB11!
Best,
